Both Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) are practiced at our clinic. FUT is a method in which an incision is made on the back of the scalp, a narrow hair follicle strip is extracted and processed, and each individual graft is transplanted. FUE is a method in which follicular units are selectively harvested and transplanted. While FUT has the disadvantage of leaving a thin hair transplant scar, when the number of grafts is the same, FUT has the advantage of taking much less time than FUE.
